I adopted the Revolutionary War as my hobby when I retired from ministry in 2017. Over nine years I have read dozens of books, attended dozens of seminars and conferences, walked the grounds of dozens of battle and skirmish sites, learned dozens of research techniques, and made dozens of friends. Though it might sound wearisome to some retirees, I have relished every minute.
Though joy cannot be measured, some of my accomplishments can be measured. I have had twelve academic articles published, had a biography published of Bloody Bill Cunningham; and made twenty-three presentations to various groups. My calendar shows three more coming up soon. And I was recently admitted to the Speakers Bureau of South Carolina Humanities.
I find special joy as I interpret Revolutionary War characters, events, and dynamics to the public. Contact me through South Carolina Humanities if your group wants to hear from me. Speakers Bureau – SC Humanities
